This was what Jawaharlal Nehru envisaged while designing the silhouette of All India Institute of Medical Sciences(AIIMS), New Delhi.
And consolidating the exemplary initiative, burgeoned six more meritorious national institutes scattered in different parts of the country. Originally christened 'Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Institute of Medical Sciences', AIIMS, Bhubaneswar stands in full glory at the heart of Bhubaneswar. And to the natives, who witnessed in awe, the enthralling make-over of 100 acres of prodigal land into an arena of curative acumen, it came as a benediction. Clad in ebullient yellow and irenic white, the 1000 bedded hospital with a telemedicine center, 39 specialty branches and adept hands that leave God's signature after each suture, has proved its calibre before the whole of aesculapian echelon.
CONNECTIVITY
Our institute is situated in the South-Western end of the city limit . Being BBSR the capital city of Odisha as well as a fast developing city, it is well connected by means of road and rail. To reach our institute :-

RAIL – The nearest railway station is Bhubaneswar Station, also called Master Canteen by the locals. Our institute is just 12kms from it, along the shortest route. You can hire auto-rickshaws or private cabs(OLA/UBER) or State Govt. Run bus facilities. Bus no 111 and 531 ply regularly from Master-Canteen to AIIMS the whole day. Also, state has special ladies only “Pink Auto” and “ Pink Bus” for their safety and security.
